hi all i am in a little bit of a dilemma here and would love it if i could get a little advice on the matter.

I just installed a access point upstairs in my bedroom using
2x TP- Link 200mbps Nano Powerline Adapter
and 1x TP-Link N150 Wireless Router.
This is connected to our virgin media superhub downstairs with 1 main computer connected to it and 3 wireless laptops connected to it ( not always on)
and a xbox connected to the acsess point upstairs.

the superhub ip is 192.168.0.3 with dhcp on
dhcp range: 192.168.0.4 - 192.168.0.299

the access point ip is 192.168.0.1 ( out of the dhcp range of the superhub ) with dhcp turned off
as this was what i was told was the right setup the access point works fine wired and wireless both have internet.

The problem i am having is my stepdad is complaining that when the xbox is on upstairs ( even if it is just his computer and the xbox) that it lags his internet so bad that he is unable to play his browser game, But if i connect my laptop to the superhub (via wifi) even with the xbox on i can play the same browser game with no problems. So could my access point be making his internet lag that bad ? He seems to think it is taking all his bandwith as both my access point and his computer are both connected via ethernet.

try setting the dhcp range to begin at 0.10
set the access point to 0.5
reboot all devices to reaquire new ip addresses.

I suspect the 0.1 setting may conflict with the internal router to hub interface or perhaps starts using the xbox as dns.
