I just finished completing the build and everything went fine during start up no issues with OS or driver updates but now every 20 minutes my computer resets when it turns back on I get a message saying anti surge protection has restarted the computer automatically because of the unstable PSU. Also the reset button on the case keeps flickering in an unsynchronized manner. My current build is in a Corsair 760T case with i7 4770k, ASUS maximus VI formula, ASUS Poseidon GTX 780, AX 760 PSU, Hyper 212 EVO

More about : anti surge protection enabled

Is it an A760i? What sends the messages? Can you check your power supply rail voltages using HWMonitor (free download)?

The message apparently comes from motherboard immediately after reset. After which it takes me to BIOS. what is HWMonitor. What does it monitor exactly. I am monitoring my current voltages and everything is running fine.

It tells you the voltages the mobo is reporting and not the PSU. We need what those voltages are to see if it is surging which is most likely it is the easiest way to check without breaking out a multimeter.

I have it up and running what voltages should I be looking at

First check all the power connections and make none are loose. you may also want to update the motherboards bios(some asus boards gave false warnings with older bios versions. It's either that a false warning(surge warning can be disabled in the bios) or the PSU is faulty.

Top box the 12V, 5V and 3.3V rails for starters. just post a screenshot of the program. To low is just as bad as too high.

For each of those voltages, what is the min and max readings?

5 = 5.080 same as min/max
12 = 12.096 same as min/max
3.3 = 3.23 min - 3.2 max - 3.248

Those voltages seem OK. So I'd say your power supply is OK.

Double check the power cord to your pc is fully plugged in at both ends. Sounds dumb, but thus recently came up as a fault.

And I'd double check that all the motherboard connectors are pushed fully on too (power turned off but plug left in so the mobo and case is grounded).

Those look alright. What happens when you start loading them?
