Unerclocking for lower temps.

Recently while gaming, I have noticed that my CPU is handling EXTREMELY high temps. My CPU is a AMD A10 6800k running at 4.1 GHz stock, cooled by the stock AMD cooler (Saving up for a new aftermarket cooler). While gaming my CPU was around 90-110 degrees, idle it was 50-80 degrees even though my case has more than enough airflow. My case is a NZXT Phantom 410 with 5 fans. Lowest it ever got was around 45 degrees when my screen saver/AMD Zero core kicked in. I've tried everything from reapplying the thermal paste. But when I went into AMD Overdrive and under-clocked my CPU from 4.1 Ghz to 3.2 Ghz, my CPU has never gotten over 65 degrees. Even during gaming my CPU stands about 60 degrees. The lower I under-clock my CPU the lower the temps get. At 2.0 Ghz the CPU ran about 45-50 degrees constant. Is this normal for a AMD APU? I'm quite concerned.

Well it can be a number of issues. 1. Could be a bad Chip and is running to hot, possible RMA. 2. Your heat-sinks fan isn't running at full speed, need a new one or a new heat-sink.

If you have done the thermal paste a few times then it shouldn't be that. Make sure your applying a pea sized amount of thermal paste in the middle of the CPU before sitting the heat-sink on to it. To much and the paste holds heat instead. I would check your CPU fan, make sure its moving enough air. If it is then I would imagine you got a bad chip. You didn't mess with the Voltage of the CPU did you? My guess at this point is the CPU fan, to much thermal paste or a bad Chip.

This tower heat-sink keeps my 8350 at 57C full load. Its pretty cheap and fits in almost any case. Will fit in your 410:

But the thing is that, my motherboard is a Asrock FM2A88X-ITX+ board cause my uncle had it and gave it to me. Do you think it will fit on my motherboard? Online reviews say that it cant even fit the Cooler Master 212 Evo.

Mistake on my end. I forgot the A series are FM2 sockets. This is the smallest tower cooler I could find for FM2.

Its only 92mm, so its pretty small, same as the TX3 i mentioned earlier. I would imagine it can fit. It can be put on two different ways making it avoid the RAM slots. This is your best chance at a new CPU cooler. I would give it a shot. Again, its not the big, the 212 Evo is 120mm which is a lot bigger than 92mm.
