I'm currently building a computer and need help picking out a CPU that won't bottleneck with a 760. The parts I am considering are the AMD Athlon X4 760K CPU and the Asus GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 GPU. I need help, as this is my first time building a computer from scratch and I'm unsure about bottlenecking.

Yup, those are perfect, know that you can run as high as a GTX 780ti on an FX 8 core without any problem, very future proof CPU, good motherboard to go with it, very nice...id suggest a CPU cooler to go along ( Cooler master hyper 212 - 29$)

well, this CPU is in the low mid-range in terms of performance and the GTX 760 is more in the high mid-range, so there is defenetly going to be a bottleneck in some CPU intensive games from this CPU, but it should do fine in most games, still i would suggest if possible going with a different CPU, what is your budget for that build? and in your budget should it includes monitor, keyboard and mouse, os, and also what are you looking at in terms of storage, i can try to put something togheter that is nice for you if you want..

If I downgrade to a Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 video card, I'll have an additional 50 dollars. With that I'll have a budget of $260 to use on the CPU and Motherboard. Any ideas of a decent set for that pricing that can work with a 660?
