So, I'm wanting to do a mini build here in the next month or so. I'm going to take the 7970 from my current computer and use it. The case i'm thinking is the MSI Nightblade and the following parts.

Case/Mobo/PSU:
Video: Current 7970
Ram
CPU
(or should I just got with the i5?)
HDD: Port from current computer.

I'm also wondering if it would be possible to fit a closed loop water cooler in this case? Such as the h50/60/80? Or if you know of a better case/ build option for mini itx... Let me know!

Thanks in advance for any advice on this!

well that case is very very expensive, you can get the bitfenix, a really sweet seasonic platinum power supply, and a top of the line mini itx motherboard for much less money.

noctua makes a really good low profile air cooler that will fit also.... nh-l12.

and i agree, if this is only for gaming, getting the 4670k over the 4770k frees up a lil more cash to spend on a quality motherborad and power supply.

as far as pure quality in the utmost standard, you cannot get any better than this in a mini-itx build.... that seasonic platinum 660w is one of a few absolutely perfect no questions asked highest quality power supplys ever made period. the motherboard is a beast and will rival any full atx sized motherboard made. the case is...
the bitfenix prodigy is capable of holding two 200mm square radiators, one in front, one in back, and ive seen 4770k and a 780ti both waterblocked in that tiny little thing running modest overclocks of 4.5ghz and 1.4ghz respectively. i do believe some had to hack away at a little of the inner metal frame to get certain different 200mm rads to fit but oncr you put the outer casing back on nobody would ever notice. i say hack, carefully dremel away until you get there. two square 120mm rads will fit no problem.

holy holy holy crap, that nightblade is friggin expensive..... so not worth it. you could get two full blocks and two rads plus d5 pump and the bitfenix for the same price. silent mini-itx sleeper.

Hmm. I may just look into an air cooler then. Any idea on the best option for one that would fit in that case?

nikoli, I appreciate the advice! However, I've never done an actual water cooled build that requires upkeep and such. I've wanted to, but I think I may save that for down the road in a large tower case where I can get creative. That idea does interest me though. I just liked this case because it's very small, and it includes a 600w 80g certified PSU and what seems like a decent mobo. The OC button is a nice touch too. I looked into the Corsair 250d case, but it seems like its a little bigger than this one. Though I really did like that case... I'm just sort of conflicted on what to do in terms of the CPU and the case+mobo combo.
