With respect to the psu, I initially ordered Corsair CX600. However after reading comments about its quality issues I am becoming a bit hesitated with my choice.
On the other hand, it seems that the XFX psu has a better reputation. Unfortunately the XFX 650w is a bit out of my budget so 550w is all that I can afford. Should I sacrifice the 50w and make the switch?

Yes that XFX 550 is plenty and very good choice. Much better quality than Corsair CX series and for a system with a single GTX760 recommended is to have 500watts and that is a high number.

yes it is enough :)

xfx 550 is very popular for i5 + gtx 760 even gtx 770
edit : you probably want a better ram, and cheaper

550w is plenty. XFX is VERY high quality. The CX600 is nowhere close to as good. It is barely average at best. Not a great unit.

Get the XFX 550 for sure.
