Hello all. I am about to build a monster PC for the budget stated above. Many of you might ask why I need such an expensive PC, so I'm gonna keep it short and simple here. I don't just play games like most of you do. I design them. Which is why the PC has to be top-notch, maybe 4 or 5 way SLI in order for me to carry out the extremely taxing 3d rendering, video editing and the likes of it. Part suggestions appreciated for that price range. Thank you.

ok so after going through these I've modified my build.

Monitors: not needed, I have 5 4k displays to do my work on.
OS: Any version of Windows will do, 8.1 is fine
Overclocking: Most definitely, maybe include a custom water cooling loop in the parts

for monster rendering you would want titan blacks. i mean i could guess why you would want to spend so much on a rig but you can get extreme compute performance for less than 8g's

but if you want quadro/firepro in a triple or quad setup you can count on doubling your budget.

Ok i got it. i didnt include OS, cpu cooler because you will want to do a custom water. case because that's up to whatever you like. (check this out) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVOL7Fbd6go

Titan blacks + an extreme intel 12 core processor and 64GB of RAM, there's nothing this computer wont be able to do.

It wont make me breakfast and drop the kids of at school.... i don't think the CPU warrants the price though IMO. also the domintator platinum RAM is not compatible with the MOBO.

Pretty good suggestion. I would replace the 10 core processor with a 12 core one to squeeze out every last bit of power but aside from that, it's fine and saves me some G's too. Thank you.

i went with the large noctua cpu cooler because its awesome and cheap. then i went with the 10 cor cpu. i chose this because even though it has 2 less cores the cores it does have are much more powerful. id rather have the .3 over the 2 cores especially if it saves me almost a thousand bucks

EDIT: i put in the 900D case but i think the one i linked you linked my other post is way cooler.

On that note I'm going to bed. as fun as this is i have work in the morning. The best of luck with your project and i hope this has helped.

No offense man, but your build is a pretty average one. The 3970X can't match the power of the Xeons that the others suggested. I can understand why you suggested that though, because I mentioned I wanted to OC, but since the Xeons are way better than the i7's when handling tasks of this magnitude, OC'ing is a trade-off I will have to make for the greater good (my mistake, apologies). Overall good build (could have done with bigger hard disks). Thanks for your time.

Sweet, now that's what I call a MONSTER. Full-fledged desktop with raw power. Also have a little more space in the budget to include an OS possibly. Thanks a lot man!

EDIT: Just looked it up and yes, the RAM isn't compatible with the MOBO. Will have to change that to something more compatible.

Now that's more like it. Agreed, the other case was way cooler. You sure the E5-2690 can compare with the power of the E5-2697 12 core? I still have my doubts about the processor.Aside from that, this rig breathes power and should be able to kick some serious ass. On that note, good night. Wouldn't want you to be late for work. Cheers man and thank you for the time and effort you put in.

just my 2 cents from my quad sli build. all of these are great builds but you may want to look at the asrock extreme11 motherboard instead as it allows quad x16 pcie 3.0 as opposed to the rampage iv which is x16/x8/x8/x8

Edit: heres a link to the product page http://

Yeah sure thing, I have decided to replace the MoBo with the asrock recommendation which you gave me. This is gonna be one hell of a build. Thank you very much.
