Hello!
I'd like to buy an R7 260x VGA, I play at relatively low resolution (1366x768) so I'm not sure I need the more VRAM (It costs around 30 USD more here).

I'd like to play "modern" games at this resolution at the max possible settings.
I'm also not even sure that an R7 260X is powerful enough to utilize the 2GB ram with it's 128bit controller.

More about : 260x 1gb 1366x768 resolution

1GB is fine for that resolution and more. Most games don't even use 2GB of VRAM even at 1440P resolution, except Crysis 3 which uses 2.2GB at high resolution and a few others.

i'd get the 2gb, who knows, you might need it in the near future.
it's not like we are talking about 8gb here

Good point. You might be pushing the limits on some near future games if you're wanting to run with all MAX settings.

you don't need it now due to the low reso that you have. but wouldn't you buy a full hd monitor?
video ram is not everything (like a 2gb on a 610 for example), but you have a decent gpu there so it pays to have enough vram
