New cards coming out soon ?

Hi,

I've sold my HD 7770 and now my PC is dead with no integrated graphics. So I thought of gutting an upgrade, but I'm worried that I may regret buying the GTX 760 and in 2 months, a newer card that performs similarly with a lower price and new tech and features , is released.

So do you think there would be any new cards coming out soon ? Like in 1-3 months ?

Any input would be appreciated,

There's nothing new coming out that will be particularly worth getting over what you can already buy now. The next big jump for graphics cards is the 20nm fabrication process for GPUs and we won't see that until next year. So if you can't wait until next year, go ahead and buy one now.

so the problem is regret isn't it?

luckily it seems nothing new will comes out anytime soon but maybe this is something that most people have to let go because the new part usually will be better than older one in price/performance aspect.

talking about next gen card there are very interesting twist right now. for example there are rumor that nvidia 800 series will be delayed to early next year because of TSMC 20nm. the latest round of rumor suggesting 800 series will still coming late 2014 or early 2015 but still on 28nm instead of 20nm. so what's the point in delaying if the product still end up using older node? very interesting right? :lol:

Thanks for the replies. First time trying PhysX and a horror games then. The GTX 760 comes with Daylight for free.
