I disable my integrated video card and now i cant project to a monitor

I have a laptop with an nvidia 740m dedicated GPU. When i disable my integrated intel hd graphics and plug my monitor, nothing happens even if i press win key + P. any suggestions?

the thing is if possible, i would like to use the nvidia GPU to manage my monitors

Some bios switch one for the other. Some do it automatically depending on the graphics load. And some need you to not only turn the integrated graphics off, but also turn the discrete pcie graphics on.

See if there's an enable/disable for pcie graphics in your bios settings.

ive just check and unfortunately no option in my bios. anyways, if i tried to uninstall the integrated GPU from device manager would i be able to reinstall it?

You might need to go to the laptop makers website and see if you can get some tech support for this. Most laptops use proprietary motherboards and bios.

Or check your manual.
