I have a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H and in the bios I cant find any place where it says "disks".

Anyone?

The reason I ask I because when I try to install windows I get thrown a "Misssing media drivers" during the windows installation and someone told me that I might be because the driver is not recognized or doa.
I figured the first step in determining that would be to check in the BIOS.

This only tell me how to configure the SATA not if they are connect.

I do know that Linux recognize it though since I put in a Live CD and tried to installing it and it saw my SSD!

Yes I have had that tab open for 24 hours soon and I am still not able to fix it.

I am installing from a USB if that makes any difference.

You get a drive list at post but you must have the full screen logo disabled in bios. At one point in history windows setup could stubbornly decide to install on a certain drive. Disconnect all other hard drives and cd/dvd devices and see if it works then. The os might need a driver, I just put win 7 on a samsung ssd with no issues on a gigabyte 990fxa-ud5 no issue. If linux can see it on same board it shouldn't be a hardware issue.
