I recently played through Crysis 2 and 3, and really enjoyed them, so I bought Crysis 1 from Origin and tried to play it with Rygels texture mod. I put Rygels pak files into the Crysis/Game folder, which seemed to work. I can get through the game up to "Relic" but then the modded texture stops and the original look takes over. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this, as well as any suggestions for additional/better mods? Most links are dead. BTW I'm a total newbie with loading mods. Thanks for any help!

Crysis 1 in my opinion did not truly benefit from any mods except SweetFX.
Other mods looked too unnatural to me, even if sometimes more impressive.
I suggest you give sweetFX a try. Best part is it works with any DX9+ game
