Hi

I'm planning to build a system for game development and such and I have picked out the components I think I'm going to use. Ive checked reviews and such and just wondered if anyone thinks that these components are right for each other or not.

CPU:
Intel Core i3 3240 Ivy Bridge Dual Core Processor

MOTHERBOARD:
Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H Intel Z77 Socket 1155

RAM:
Corsair Memory Vengeance Black 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz

GRAPHICS CARD:
ZOTAC GTX 750 Ti 2GB Nvidia

PSU:
Ace 550w Black PSU 12cm

HDD:
Seagate ST1000DM003 1TB SATA 3

Any feedback on these would be really helpful as I'm not overly convinced with myself.

cheers

What kind of game? Android or mobile games? If I were you I would spend a little more, go with an i5, 8GB of RAM, and a 760 video card if you can swing it. Also maybe a better power supply. If this list tops your budget its fine, but I would go further on upgrades. BTW, go with a fourth generation intel.

it's ok for an entry system... but seriously consider 8gb of RAM.

4 is just not enough if you want to do anything beyond browsing the internet.

for any sort of rendering/developing, at least 8gb

I can swing the i5 but I can't swing the 760 card.
CPU is now - Intel Core i5 3340 3.10GHz Socket 1155 Quad Core.
RAM is now - Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz (1 module)

I was going to just get one 4gb module and get another module later but I think longterm its cheaper to go 8gb. I don't know anything about PSU's, whats good or whats bad?

I've built a system from brand new once before but wasn't mine so i'm hesitating buying the stuff... not that I have another option.

I'm looking at running CryEngine, Unity and 3ds Max by the way.
