Suggest a change to my new build

I would get an i5 for gaming for sure. No need for an i7.

You can get 8gb RAM MUCH cheaper that performs IDENTICALLY.

I would personally get an air cooler not a closed loop liquid cooler.

DEFINITELY would get a normal mid-tower case. No need for a full tower here at all.

Her you go man. For gaming there is no need for an I7, because you will not take advantage of the Hyper threading of the i7 in games so that will save you 100 quid unless you want to be one of those guys that just have to have an I7 to say they have one, and like tint voices said there is ram that performs just as well like the vengeance or vengeance pro like what I use and put in the build.

I would not use a Corsair RM unit as they use the same junk capacitors as the CX units do Some have already failed in people's builds. Stick with HX or TX or AX for Corsair or go Antec, Seasonic, XFX. 750w is more than enough here.

I haven't had a problem with mine.....

It is a know issue. Chances are it will not fail, but it is something to consider. The GOLD rating has nothing to do with quality. In reality the RM series is only slightly better than the CX units. I don't generally recommend them. Yous is barely hitting 50% load so that is why yours has likely been fine. Your system would be more suited to a 650w unit.

Also 750w is more than enough for that build.

They even mention the crap capacitors and when the give the score they "overlook" the negatives.

It is well known the capacitors are junk.

Why pay that much when you can get a better quality unit for the same or less money.

XFX seems to be number 1 in quality for money now-a-days.

If money wasn't the issue as it was for aesthetic reasons. would you change your mind on a full tower and closed loop cooling? I cant see any performance boost from the case and cooling change. I love the big side window that is why i picked the 750D (GF has the 750D and it looks the bomb.) Also picked the dominator ram again for aesthetic reasoning.

I would not change my mind. It is not money, I don't like big huge cases at all. I cannot stand huge cases with small builds in them. Those cases are as tall as your desk and will be LOUD. They are meant for custom water loops. I never see the need for a full-tower case. A full tower case dos not help with cooling contrary to popular beliefs.

Picking More expensive RAM for "aesthetic reasons" doesn't make any sense to me. YOu could spend that money on better parts instead.
