changing outtake to intake fan

How do I do this?
And don't say flip it over, because it makes an aweful noise when it's flipped the wrong way because of the thing spinning against the case which causes friction... and noise.
Can I just make it turn the other way around, or do I need to return it?

Yeah, normally you should just turn it around. There's really nothing more than this that can be done.

Spinning in the opposite direction will not work.

Could you make is spin backwards? Sure. But fan blades are shaped to spin in one direction. Making it go backwards lessens the actual flow by a LOT.

Similarly, a spoon is shaped to scoop in one direction. If you were to put a spoon in a sugar bowl upside down, how much sugar could you get out of the bowl?

What fan/case/location is it?
