You should rather get a 128GB SSD intead of the 16GB ram, just get a 2x4GB kit. :)

No problem, SSD for OS + HDD will overall increase your storage speed, and you'll still be able to add a 2x4GB ram kit later on if you so desire, and if you're ever going to do some video-editting, whereas installing a SSD later on for OS is pretty tricky (did it myself, and know how much is helped my slow HDDs performance). :)

The motherboard defently is in the cheap side, if you want to overclock your cpu, shich is where many people say that the real performance in these cpu lay, then you should get a motherboard called something with 970, 990, FX990. It's some of the higher end boards (970 motherboards being the cheapest).

If you get a 128GB SSD instead of the extra 8GB of ram, you'll defently be able to have BF3 on it, and your pc would run the game just fine on Ultra settings with those two 7870's in CF (not SLI it's Nvidia ;)  ).

do you already have one 7870? or will you be buying 2 of them?

If you gonna buy 2 of them i would suggest getting 1 single better card instead because much less problems with just 1 card over crossfire and some games dont support it.

So i would suggest getting something like r9-280x or nvidia gtx 770.

But if you already own one of the 7870 i guess going crossfire would be cheaper.

no you should change to a better one and if you wanna go with this one you cant sli/xfire, this motherboard does not suport muli gpu. and if you wanna overclock anything then i would not take this either.

But like i said pick up a 280x or the nvidia 770 or any other you like and run single gpu its so much better and you still will be bale to play all games max settings 60+ fps on 1080p.

i would suggest something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

but if its out of your budget please tell us your budget and we will find the best sulution.
