I have a gate way LX6810-01.

The fan runs high speed , but no lights or monitor. If I turn it on and off for a few hour it will start. When I shut down the. same problem occurs. Now it the only thing that run is the fan. Please help. Tim M.

Probably more a hardware problem than a software.

Try a different psu.

Clean the pc,look at the cpu cooler for dust under the fan,remove if there's any and see how it goes.

Check the motherboard for issues, often bad capacitors cause this outside of a power supply issue. Motherboard and power supply are the most likely things wrong.
