So I want a new motherboard and case. How to resocket my CPU?

I am fairly technical but have never socketed a CPU myself and don't know what's involved in resocketing one. I purchased my computer at ibuypower.com and it came with a liquid CPU cooler which I'd have to learn how to re-install into a new case as well. Any tips for doing this?

Edit: I have a 3570k (socket Z77), and need support for SLI.

Are you asking how to move your CPU from one motherboard to another, or how to put your say socket 1155 cpu into a socket 1150 motherboard?

Z77 is a chipset not a socket. Find someone to help you with experience. Or just do what people do. Search YouTube for videos doing so. There are literally thousands. You have lots of work in front of you. Transplanting everything into your new case. hard drives, optical drives. Installing your new motherboard. Installing your existing cpu. Applying new TIM and the AIO cooler you have. Attaching the front panel headers to your new motherboard. Putting in your existing psu. Installing drivers for the new board. Maybe a whole OS reinstall will be necessary. I am sure I missed stuff to.
