Hey guys,

Im building my own PC now and first of all Im new at this. See my specs below:

Intel Core i5 4670K Boxed
Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3
MSI GeForce GTX 780 Gaming
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST2000DM001, 2TB
Cooler Master CM 690 III Closed
Scythe Mugen 4 PCGH Edition
Crucial Ballistix Tactical BLT2C4G3D1608ET3LX0CEU
Samsung SH-224DB Zwart
Cooler Master VS V550S
Crucial M500 2,5" 240GB

Now, i find the most difficult part to choose: The Monitor!

I read some awesome stuff about the Asus..but i'm a bit afraid..like i said i'm a newbie.
Now, i'd like to ask you guys for advice..will my pc benefit from this awesome monitor? or should i look for alternatives..I don't want to buy a expensive monitor to find out that my gpu can't handle it:( !

My goal is to run games really smooth, I prefer high fps..but also high settings in games..I

i hope you guys can help me!

Many thanks!

I think you will be running smooth to for the simple fact that you have a gtx 780. In some games, you might be able to achieve 120+ frames which is optimal on that screen. But in most games, due to how demanding certain games can be, your frame rate is likely to be somewhere between 60-90 in Ultra + AA @ 1080p. I guess the screen is very good for gaming, but is really at its best if you are taking advantage of 3dvision. If 3D is not something you are interested in, 144hz don't have that much to offer since 60 frames is considered to be very smooth.
