Hi, I'm here yet again (still new at this), trying to figure out if I could upgrade this, or if there is no hope, this is the original:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883113273

Upgrades:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($151.98 @ OutletPC)
Memory: PNY Optima 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($58.10 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($224.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $435.07

You could do this for about the same price:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($112.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock 960GM/U3S3 FX Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($53.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($224.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($47.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $439.96
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Your RAM is good enough for gaming, your HDD would be ok for now, and the case can be reused. Definitely need a new power supply, and this motherboard is sufficient (you won't be overclocking, so it will have enough power delivery).

It looks like you can add a graphics card to that computer and use it as a secondary gaming computer. It seems that the power supply is actually an 80 Plus Bronze model, which is interesting.

Depends how much you want to spend. If you want to use this to hold you over until you get money for a new one, you could put a nice GPU in it and you could get some gaming done if you like.

All decent except the motherboard. You want a true 900-series motherboard in order to get modern interfaces, maximum internal clock rates, and better VRMs. Check this spreadsheet: https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgN1D79Joo7tdE9xMUFlMEVWeFhuckJEVF9aMmtpUFE&gid=2 to see what to avoid due to VRM issues (like the cheap MSI 970A-G4x boards).

Edit: On a budget, this one looks decent: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138372 as it isn't listed for problems.

Still though, if OP wanted to run a HD7750 on it to hold him over until he gets the cash for a new one it would run great. Its got 2 12V rails with 10a and 15a respectively. Even if its not a good 80 Plus Bronze, it should still support a 7750 or a 750Ti.

Would be nice to get a new computer though as said above.
