Hello I have a Dell Laptop that had been drop, and now the Hard drive is having issues reading. I have it hooked up to a sata to usb reader. I have gotten the Recovery part of the drive back, but the main part says it is unable to determine volume and state. I was wondering if there was any way to access it and save any of the files on the main drive?

Thanks Jae,

Typically when drives are not readable after being dropped, they need to be recovered by a professional. They will (usually) make a clicking sound when the drive is plugged in.

If the data on the drive is valuable, DO NOT plug in the hard drive again and send it to a professional or you risk losing all of your data.
