I found a GTX 580 for 80$ and was wondering if it 's still worth it to get high-end outdated cards, or low-end current cards. What's your opinion?

The 580 is still a pretty good graphics card. Just make sure you have a reliable source to get it from.

I found it on Ali Express, could it be a scam?
However, It's being sold by Game Demon, and they have a 95.2% positive feedback rating.

where is that at? you buy it for $80, and i'll buy it from you for $100.

I was looking for a cheap 580 to add to my old rigthat already has a 580 in it. lol

a 580 is equal to a 760 roughly... but it wont have some newer features and it will use TONSSS more power... and make TONS more heat. lol 580 was a power hungry, firey animal.

thats a steal for the price if you have a solid 600watt power supply.

seriously though, i'll buy it via paypal if you dont! :)

yes the 580 is noticeably slower than a 670 but is generally on par with a 760. there are a few optimizations for certain games that the 760 may be about 10% faster, but for $80, or even $100, its a great bang for your buck.

That's sketchy as all get out in my opinion. The prices for various other GPUs do not make sense. You would probably be better off looking elsewhere.

Apparently Game Demon is a GPU factory in China, maybe they make fakes?

oh lol ive heard horror stories about stuff on there. people getting dead video cards, then they try to fight it and get "nowhere in the listing did it say the card was guaranteed to work"

or, if the seller agrees to refund, you have to pay to ship it back.

every try to ship somethign to CHINA?!?! it'd cost more than the $80

it's odd, they can ship stuff here super cheap, but it costs us a fortune to ship it to there.

it's interesting though... why wouldn't they be selling them on ebay for $200 instead of on there for $80 if they were legit!?!?!

lol, that is not a 680. the numbers in the GPU-z are way off... and the card is physically way too small.

all 680s have 1536 shaders... not 110 like that one has . lol

Lol it is odd, on the page for the 760 it says "AMD" under chipset manufacturer
