So I have a pretty major problem with my computer setup.

I am trying to run my AMD Radeon HD 5750 along with my AMD Radeon X1300 Pro so that I can run my 4 monitors on my setup. For whatever reason my system refuses to boot at all, after pressing the power button it sets all the fans to 100% like it normally does then once it's finished doing that it sits there for a few seconds not showing anything on any of the 4 displays, then the fans speed up to 100% on the 5750 for about 2 seconds then down to normal and it does that over and over again. Both cards work alone in either slot but whenever I try to boot them together it just sits there spinning the fans.

Any help would be awesome :)

Thanks ^.^

I assume you are trying to crossfire the cards, and if that is the case it may be causing the problem. With most crossfire setups you have to use a crossfire bridge connector to bridge the two cards together. The motherboard might be having trouble deciding which GPU to use so they are fighting each other. Try booting with just one GPU, and report back if it works.

While the drivers are different, the machine should still boot. All it does it sit there and spin its fans (nothing shows up on the displays)

What power supply are you running? Does it boot fine with each individual card?

I'm assuming you've uninstalled all drivers before installing the cards? Not that that would really mean anything in terms of booting the OS in general let alone starting the computer.

I'm not using crossfire (the X1300 Pro doesn't even support it) each card works fine on their own. I am running a CoolerMaster Silent Pro M 700w

The Silent Pro should be fine.

The thing is that the X1300 Pro uses legacy drivers while the 5750 most likely uses the most current driver set.
