Mic not detected.

Hello there, i have bought a new laptop, which has a combined audio and mic jack, and my headset has two cable so i bought the adapter. Thing is it doesn´t recognize the mic.
I have already updated the drivers, made visible all devices and done pretty much i can to fix this, if anyone could help it would be very appreciated!

It's a bit confusing what they said "3.5mm Jack Plug Splitter Audio Adapter Lead Cable for Dual Headphone/Mic Music" and from the description they wrote below "3.5mm Jack 4-Pole Y-Splitter Video/Audio/AV Adapter Cable". Maybe it's the same cable.

Well if you are sure the newegg one works ill buy it, but unfortunately I'm not from USA, therefore cant buy it. Can you recommend one from eBay or something like that? Really appreciate your help!
I usually have my way around these things, im not any pro or anything, but I've tried so many things that i am suspicious that this adapter its either broken or not the correct one.

I'm glad I could help you with the problem you had with the headphone and microphone jack. Also, thank you to tell us that the adapter works, so if someone has the same problem, they can count on you for the result you have with this adapter.
