Water cooling cpu performance increase?

If I water cool my cpu will I see a noticeable difference to my system's performance (gaming and in general)?
My cpu gets pretty hot sometimes, around 60-90 °C depending on what game i'm playing.

You however do not have a K series CPU, so overclocking is not really an option.

Moreover, you would only see a performance increase from overclocking if your CPU was throttling from the temperatures it produced. Even at 90C it likely isn't throttling, though it is very toasty.

What's your GPU? You may see more of a benefit from upgrading that.

Yes and no to your main question.

You should see better performance.While a CPU get's hot it strains it self and does slow down a little but not much.Very little to nothing that you will not see the difference.

And to the second part of your question.Yes water cooling is a good option but all so a risky option.If you spring a leak or leave kinks in hose or hose pops off 90% of the time there goes some computer part.

I have a system that is cooled by nothing but fans and my cpu is a AMD Phenom II x4 965.I keep it around 29c or 83f
Even while gaming on max settings.

Do you have a after market cooler on your cpu.If not i would recommend on getting one.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 gpu which gives me very smooth performance on bf4 maxxed settings. I guess ill just wait for a year or two to get a high end cpu and water cooling (or untill my current cpu fails)

Hell my evga GTX 550 TI super clocked buy default gives good performance after 3 years.

Any GTX i think is probably going to be the best option out there for running games.

Is it overclocked if it is try to underclock it too see if that helps using the MSI afterburner.
