Hey everyone,
I recently purchased a i7 4770k and cm 212 evo. I do want to overclock, but wanted to run some tests first. I turned on real temp gt and intel burnin test at maximum. I am getting around 85 degrees without even overclocking. Should I be concerned or can I just start overclocking. I know that you should not let it get over 90 and my cpu only gets to around 50-60 degrees when gaming. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Solution

Intel Burn Test will do that to a processor. I, personally, wouldn't use it to test for a stable overclock. Try Prime95, a few good Small FFT's tests should suffice for overclock testing.
