Will a PCI-E 2.0 Motherboard (GA-X48-DQ6) bottleneck the performance of a PCI-E 3.0 graphics card (HD-7870)

I'm thinking about getting the HD-7870 but I'm afraid my Mobo's PCI-E 2.0 will nulify, at least, some of its performance. What do you think?

Thank you very much! :)

There are like 15 of these threads so, rather than start a new thread I'll just post here.

At what point does a PCIe 2.0 motherboard hold back, cap or bottleneck a PCIe 3.0 GPU? Wouldn't newer games also be an issue?

I have:

AMD Phenom II X4 955

MSI 790FX-GD70 (2009)

Evga 760 2g Super Clocked

We are just now starting to get the full potential out of PCIe 3.0 and especially with the new Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming G1 Motherboard.
