Hello,

I take a graphic design class at school that utilizes Photoshop CS6. In order to practice and get better at graphic design, I put CS6 on a flash drive and took it home in an attempt to install it to my computer. However, I get the "error 1" which deals with configuration, if I'm correct. I'm trying to think of what I could do to solve this. Any ideas?

The pain from the high price is a thing of the past since they introduced different pricing with cc. The Adobe Photoshop Photography Program is $10 a month (1 year plan) for photoshop cc and lightroom. Either that or you can get cs2 for free depending on what features you need. This is not a college right? Because a college that can't stay up to date is not a place you want to be.

Indeed you can't copy installed program files and then try and install it on another computer as the program installs specifically to the component configuration where it will be run from. Additionally doing so is against copyright protections and is illegal> on a students budget it pains me to have to tell you will have to buy it. That said you should check with your prof as the school you attend may have a school Adobe program that either allows them for a much smaller cost than full retail to you to provide you with a licensed copy as part of the schools educational contract with Adobe.
