That depends on what video card you have and what ports are on your 3 monitors.

So...

1. What is the exact model video card that you have? If it is a pre-built computer, what brand + model is it?
2. What are the exact model + brand monitors and TVs that you have?

What is the specific model video card? (brand name and model number)

I want to check if that has the restriction where the 3rd monitor MUST be Displayport (which I think it does have that restriction).

I need the video card, like this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

First, for two of your devices (TV or monitors), you can use a mix of DVI or HDMI (you chose between the two).

However, the 3rd device is a little more complicated.

If it is a model that requires the 3rd monitor MUST use Displayport, then you will need to buy these two cables and connect them together:
1x: mini Displayport to HDMI Active Adapter
http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=104&cp_id=10428&c...
1x HDMI cable to make it longer (since the adapter is so short)
http://www.monoprice.com/Category?c_id=102&cp_id=10240

If it is a model that does not requires a Displayport for the 3rd monitor, then you can get a cheaper "passive" cable:
mini Displayport to HDMI (passive)
http://www.monoprice.com/Category?c_id=102&cp_id=10246&...

If you have a regular size Displayport plug instead of a mini Displayport plug, then the cables will need to be a little different; if you can let me know, that'd be great.

but can you point me towards a somewhat cheap displayport to hdmi (active) adapter then?

Still wrong link. You must have accidentally copy/pasted the wrong one; I can understand how that happens. :)

Thanks. Ok, yes you MUST have Displayport on the 3rd monitor. That means you will need the active adapter solution.

So, get these two cables (an adapter and an HDMI cable to make it longer) and connect them together.
Plug it into the mini Displayport on the video card, and the HDMI on your TV or monitor.
For the other TV or monitors, you can use DVI and/or HDMI.

I'm not sure what you mean.

Your video card has mini Displayport plugs on it. All of your monitors and TV have HDMI (but not Displayport), right?

So, you must convert from mini Displayport to HDMI using an active mini Displayport to HDMI adapter.

mini display port wont work?..
il try the link again in case it was sent to some random place again
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
but in any case it should just be a regular displayport to hdmi then (active) right?

Are you saying that this is the real video card that you own and not the Sapphire link you gave me earlier?

So, your card has a full size Displayport and not a mini?

If your video card has a mini Displayport, then just get the two items here:
1x: mini Displayport to HDMI Active Adapter
http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=104&cp_id=10428&c...
1x HDMI cable to make it longer (since the adapter is so short)
http://www.monoprice.com/Category?c_id=102&cp_id=10240

Or, if your video card has a full size Displayport slot, then get these two cables instead and connect them together:

mini Displayport to Displayport (since the adapter is so short)
http://www.monoprice.com/Category?c_id=102&cp_id=10246&...
Displayport to HDMI Active Adapter

June 05 edit: sorry, even my edit was wrong. Here's the very late correction:
I'm so, sorry, one of the solutions I gave is incorrect. If you ordered one of them, please read this.

The mini Displayport setup is correct, so if you got that, don't worry. However, the second, regular Displayport setup, was wrong.

Hopefully, you didn't buy them or can return it. Here's what you need if the video card has a regular Displayport port.

1. Displayport to HDMI Active Adapter
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
2. Any HDMI cable to make it longer
