So I decided to improve my old computer (factory) and upon upgrading the stock Core 2 Duo E4600 to a Core 2 Duo E7500, both the case and cpu fans seem to be stuck on 100% rpm. I've been monitoring the cpu temperature and it's 33c when idle, and never past 50c under load, so no overheating as far as I can see.

I've tried the BIOS but it's not so advanced and offers nothing for fan control. As a result I've been using speedfan, but I'd rather not use a 3rd party program as a permanent solution.

Also It's a MS-7525 motherboard which is supposedly compatible with the E7500 (according to the HP website), and I noticed the change in fan speeds immediately after installing the chip.
