Do I need a bigger psu?

My current setup is:
CPU: i5 4570
RAM: 8GB Ram
GPU: MSI R9 280x
MOBO: Gigabyte H87-D3H
SSD: Kingmaxx 240gb
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1tb
PSU: Corsair cx750m
I am looking to add another 280x and upgrade my processor and motherboard. Do I need a bigger psu or will the one i have be big enough for 2 280x's? If I was to upgrade, should I just get a large 1000w psu and be covered for whatever, or get something smaller?

You should be fine as long as you aren't OCing anything. As long as you are running stock you should be using 600-650W of power.

Your power supply is sufficient for what you are running.

Why are you planning to upgrade the processor and motherboard? Your processor is still very good for gaming.

I wouldn't SLI with a CX Series power supply from corsair , they are cheap and have poor capacitors.

They don't deal with stress very well.

Thanks for the fast replies! I may look at just getting an 850w power supply just to cover myself. Is the corsair HM850 a good choice? i figure if I'm going to upgrade I may as well upgrade to a gold psu. I'm in Australia but thanks so rpices are a lot more over here but thanks for the help

It's good. 850W is enough power and the HM line is fine. The CX line is the only one I know that has issues, and even then it's not horrible.

VS,CX , RM all have low quality capacitors.

And I know this is where we disagree SR-71. Lower quality != bad PSU or bad caps. Not everyone can drive a Cadillac or Mercedes. Some of us have to make do with Chevy's or Fords. I would avoid the Yugo's and other such ones at all costs.
