First time Overclocking help

Hello! I need help with overclocking for the first time. I have a FX-6300 with asus m5a97 r2.0. My cooler is the Hyper evo 212. I want to overclock to a safe 4.3 GHZ. If anyone has experience with the processor and motherboard with overclocking, id like some tips on what to do. Thanks!

firstly, you have one of a very few 970 based boards that can successfully OC, as the 970 chipset is not very good at OC. I would not suggest going over 4.2Ghz, as you may get instability issues if you try to go higher.

What to do; You'll have to go into BIOS and OC through there, and increase the voltage a small margin but not by a lot, BIOS will not apply such a high voltage if you go to high, so your safe in that context. You'll have to refer to the manual for your BIOS, as they are all different.
