Hello everyone! This will be my first time building a custom PC, and I would really appreciate some help picking the right parts for my needs.

Primary uses: Medium to Heavy Video Editing and Gaming (Battlfield 4, World of Warcraft)

This is what I have set up so far: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

Basically, I would like some suggestions as to what parts would be better than the ones I have already picked - or if I am going overboard with the parts or bottlenecking.

Thanks! Any insight is greatly appreciated.

You can cut back, like 4770 non-k minor aftermarket cooler but that is a solid list of components. Enjoy it.

If Intel go with XEON E3 1230 V3 it is basically an I7 without the IGP and cheaper!

Thanks for the input so far guys! But can anyone give me some suggestions for lowering the price by around $200 and still keep similar performance? The reason is because I want to invest in a better monitor and my maximum budget is $1500. Thanks!

As rolli said you can actually purchase that xeon 1230 v3 for a significant price drop. Just no overclocking but all of the i7 hyperthreaded goodness. Then you can drop down in motherboard and be done with it.

For some reason I just get an empty list when opening the part list so I do not know what board is involved but really a Xeon 1230 V3 and motherboard should come in at around $350 or even less depending on board.
