Desktop computer went to sleep/standby?

So I went afk to buy and eat lunch for 30 minutes. When I came back, I saw my backlit keyboard and mouse were off. I checked my computer and it was actually off as well. The power LED on my case was blinking. When I pressed the power button, it went back to the stuff I was doing before. Only my browser and Skype were opened.

I didn't know that desktops even had this feature. The weird thing is I've left my computer for at least an hour or two before to torrent something. It never went off. Was it because of the torrent?

of course it is a normal process from windows to save energy and in the second time the windows didn't go to sleep that because of torrent

Oh okay. It's just that this never happened with my previous PC, and I got scared when this suddenly happened with my new PC. Sorry for starting a thread on something trivial.
