Upgrade Compatibility Questions

Hello Toms Hardware users, I'm planning on upgrading an older rig with a current generation graphics card.

My current specs are:

■ i5-2500k (Stock clocks)
■ AsRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 (Hardware manual says max is PCI Express 2.0)
■ 8GB GSkill Ram
■ Antec High Current 750W PSU

My planned upgrade card is the R9 290 Vapor-X. Will there be any compatibility issues?

Hi Cybernetic,
you will be fine with that setup ,
no compatabillity issues whatsoever , your psu has enough grunt for the card you have a good board and cpu and ram
go for it

So the PCI-E 2 vs PCI-E 3 will not be an issue? (I just want to make sure. It's a big purchase when it comes back in stock).
