you can't add those two graphics cards (but HD 4000 is an Integrated graphics processor), but you can run them separately.

You are able to switch but you can't combine them, their two different platforms, and not able to combine together. Only some AMD IGPU's and GPU's can do this.

for your second question, backup your data, then you can restore it later on another computer.

With your first question, you may be trying to install a driver that is not fully downloaded, try and download the latest driver manually then install it as if it were a patch.

USB is much better, Best if you have a USB HDD, with 100GB of space.

16G will not be enough, unless you have literally nothing on your PC?

your recovery partition, if small enough will go on the 16GB thumb drive, your actual backup will need to go on your 500GB drive.

You can recover date on many recovery tools available.

if that's a laptop GPU, don't bother, just heat and less lifetime.

1) Turn on your computer, insert the Windows 7 installation disc or USB flash drive, and then turn off your computer.

2) Restart your computer.

3) Press any key when prompted to do so, and then follow any instructions that appear.

4) When the Install Windows page appears, click Install now to begin the installation process or click Repair your computer to access system recovery options.

5) Follow the instructions.
