Just bought a new pc and it's not up to par

I just bought a avatar gaming fx-6300 with a r7 250 GPU and I was told I could play dayz on med-high setting and I had to put EVERYTHING on low! And got 15-24 in towns, can some one help me get a better framerate? Should I get a new GPU or over clock with the build I have? Maybe overclock with a new GPU? Any info would help... Don't have a budget really.. Just don't wanna have to buy a whole new rig!

an R7 250 could never play Dayz on medium, your looking at the right FPS on low there. If you want better, I suggest getting a R9 270 or Nvidia equivalent.

A GeForce GTX 750 Ti is your best bet. The power supply in your rig is really more like a 325watter and the 750 ti is very power efficient. It'll cost you about $150.

You're not going to get anywhere overclocking. I'm afraid there aren't any free ways to solve this problem.

Okay so it's not my CPU that is lacking?? I just need a better video card? And those that you recommended are compatible with my CPU?

your CPU is fine, your GPU is really lacking.

I suggest a R9 270, best card for the price in most places.

Yeah I don't know much about PCs but 200% sounds a lot better haha I just don't wanna spend money on it and have dayz at a shitty framerate... Because I can't even see people from a far and the landscape is all bad...

that doesn't mean your FPS will increase by 200%, but it will crush your current R7 250, pretty badly. Your rig is about to turn into a monster, for a pretty good price.

Just reading about it, I need a PSU that at least is a 500w and it's pretty big ... Dunno if it will fit in my case

I looked at picture of the label of your psu on newegg. It said you only have 324watts on the 12v rails. That's why I wouldn't say a 270 is your "best solution", unless you also upgrade the PSU.
