Do i need fans for this Build?

Do i need any fans for this rig? I have heard that my gpu can run quite hot so im thinking of getting some fans for it, the only problem is that im broke.. will it be enough with what i have or will it be noisy? Could i get a cheaper gpu because its kinda overkill for ultra 30+fps,

I have the fractal r4 black pearl, and with almost the same build as what your going for. I've added 2 at the top and 1 at the front + the 2 it came with. 5 in total. if your going to overclock your cpu & run high-end games I would spend the money on the fans. If just for the peace of mind.

That fractal design case has its own fans as far as i know... indeed that GPU is both hot and will be noisy when utilized at 100%... but hey its 290W TDP what would you expect :S Whats the game you gonna use it for... as you said it might be an overkill and a real power drainer.

Firstly I have a R9 290X, and your going to need a good cooling solution. I have the Gigabyte Windforce 3X OC R9 290X, and hits a ma of 75 degrees C under 100% load, pretty good. That GPU is what you want for ultra gaming, as games get more intense, your going wish you had it.

It's been tested to a 300W TDP for a small correction.

Add fans to wherever you can, except for the side as that disturbs airflow, as hot air rises. Having a fan push air in when it's rising makes no logical sense!

Have fans doing this in their available places on your case;

Front fan as intake

Rear fan as outtake

Top fan as outtake, really effective to bring the hot air out faster.

Bottom fan as intake, a really good spot to have a fan as cool air come straight to your graphics card, and forces air up and out, where it needs to be.
