I installed and reinstalled it about 4 times, nothing changes, I formated my laptop, installed win7 again, when I installed sims 3 it didn't work. It's so annoying cuz I used to play it on an old pc with these hardware:fou: :
128 nvidia graphic
1.8 cpu
And other older things.then it worked on another old 2.4 cpu computer
Now, I got a dell vostro 3300 laptop, I can tell you that sims was one of the only reasons that I changed it, and its not working. When I start the game, it looks like
"Wow its gonna be perfect" but after a few minutes, it shuts down. It's really ridiculous. And also I use a cooling pad so l don't think that it's the matter of heating.
Can anyone help me??? How can I make it work? Without shunting down?
My drivers has been installed

:o :fou:

Well, it probably is due to heating, despite your laptop cooler. Run Speedfan and report actual temps please. If the contact between the heatsink and cpu/gpu are crap your cooling pad doesn't matter. The TIM on those is super shit. I would recommend using some decent stuff like MX-4

Well then if it's over heating, what can I do?
I'll probably take it to a technician tomorrow, cuz I couldn't open the case to clean the pack....
Thanks for your answer

Do you have the most updated drivers or are you using drivers that came on a CD?

Have you used sppedfan or any other monitoring program? It would help to confirm that the temps are high under load.

That problem solved....
There was a problem with my graphic card chip and they've replaced it...
Now something worse happened:suddenly I got an error like :windows detected a hard disk problem....and I dunno why it's on all my drives...guess I'm gonna lose all my data....anyway, hard luck :'(
