I've just built a new PC (specs below) and have been mostly enjoying ACIV that came with the mobo. Every now and again the PC will restart for no obvious reason. I think i have got the latest drivers for everything, nothing is overclocked, any ideas?
Spec: i7-4930k, rampage IV black edition, GTX780Ti, 16GB ram, running off Samsung EVO 250Gb SSD, Win 8.1 Home. Monitor is 2560x1440, optimized graphic settings with the Geforce utility that came with the card.

i don't think so. the case is a phantom 630 with 2 in and 2 out fans, and the CPU has a Noctua cooler with 2 fans on it. The panel on the front tells me that the CPU temp isn't going over 40 degrees.

I think i've only had a single restart when playing Empire Total War, and that was in a busy land battle. AC4 is the main culprit. I verified all the files last night but haven't had a chance to test it yet. Running in Win 7 is not an option for me (don't have it).
Are these restarts are the product of the graphics card being temporarily overwhelmed? Thats a bit disappointing considering it is a beast of a card and the settings are as autodetected by the geforce utility.
What would be the best gfx tweak to turn off to give it a fighting chance, God Rays? shadows? Some variation on AA?
