psu recommendation needed.......

my gaming rig has following configuration..........

core i7 3770

amd readon r9 280

8gb ddr3 @1600 mhz ram

1 tb hdd

i am confused about psu........

can good quality 450 watts psu is enough for my gaming build.....?

also tell me ...how much power does 450w gold certified psu draw from wall socket at full load....?

Minimum 500w is recommended for R9 280. It draws power like 200w. So a good quality 500w or 525w PSU is what you need please.

around 550 watt PSU needed for this specifications . a 450w gold PSU draws almost 425 watts . degrades wattage when load increases more but difference is around 5 to 8 percent . . in your case buy any seasonic or xfx 550 PSU

here are a few good options , modular psu's are always better , less case clutter with leads you do not require , also a reputable brand and good warranty is something to strive for when selecting a psu ,

i realize a few of these are out of stock but its an exmple of what to look for ,seasonic/xfx and corsair make the best psu's

No,it would at max draw about 500watt from the wallsocket,you're referring to what the pc would use at a usage of 450 watts measured at the wall.
