I was planning on putting my system together today till I got to the part where I install the heatsink. I had some comparability issues and ended up ordering a different mounting kit. So I cleaned the thermal paste I had applied to the CPU with 91% isopropel alcohol and a paper towel. The CPU is now sitting in the motherboard naked while I wait for the kit to arrive.
Is this okay? Is there danger of the CPU corrosion or the like?
