Dark Souls 2 PC connection problems

Hi everyone, I'm writing this to ask a simple question: Is something wrong with my connection/hardware or is this happening to everyone?

As some of you might know, Dark Souls 2 was released on PC earlier today. I can see other people's messages, summon signs and bloodstains. Getting to a duel/being summoned is easy and everything seems to work as it should. This is where the problems begin. I've been playing mutliplayer and so far in every invasion/summon I've had huge lag (as in everything freezes for like 15 seconds and then unfreezes for 2).

My ping in BF4 is around 50-60 and here's my Speedtest score: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3461154720

So the problem shouldn't be my connection. I also tried port-forwarding and it didn't help at all.

TL;DR: Is DS 2 PvP lagging for everyone?

Thanks in advance for those who can find the time to answer this :D

Solution
It's more closely related to the game than your PC or your connection. You can try opening ports on your Firewall/Router. While it's gotten better, the same thing happens on PS3 from time to time. Even worse (I guess) a lot of the times the lag causes enemies to just pause mid-attack or not move. I and my summons can continue to wail on them and when the spike ends, they're dead.

Yeah, my antivirus and firewall are both in "gaming mode" and the ports from the router are also open...

This game has stolen the *Worst netcode of 2104* -award from BF4!

i think selecting the correct server is steam settings would help. also the server was down on the release day for some time.. so only you would have experienced problems.

by the way which ports did u forward for dark souls 2?

Yeah, the problem went away on its own.

These are all my opened ports. This includes some other games too, but generally if these are open, you should be fine. The ones for DS2 are 6 and 7 (I think):

number | protocol | remote port | local host | local port
1 UDP 88 192.168.1.2 88
2 TCP/UDP 3074 192.168.1.2 3074
3 TCP/UDP 53 192.168.1.2 53
4 TCP 80 192.168.1.2 80
5 TCP 443 192.168.1.2 443
6 UDP 52245 192.168.1.2 52245
7 UDP 50002 192.168.1.2 52245
