I have a modular psu, 550watts and it includes a 6+2 pin and an 8 pin pcie connector.
The problem is, HD 6870 requires two 6 pins. How would i able to use my gpu? Can i only insert the 6 pin from the 6+2 pin? Or is there any possible workaround?

If you have one 8 pin and one 6+2 pin, then you could use a 8-to-2x6pin adapter to connect to your GPU.

Also, 6+2 pin can be used as one 6 pin and leaving the 2 pin unconnected. But you need to connect 2 6 pin plugs to power the card.

Alternatively, you could use a dual molex to 6 pin cable, and the 6 pin from your PSU.
