I have warranty on my PSU for 3 years. In the terms and conditions it states that don't cover general wear and tear of the product. I'm wondering whether i'm covered if the PSU gives out and damages my other components.
Thanks for any feedback.

" I'm wondering whether i'm covered if the PSU gives out and damages my other components." not 100% sure but Im fairly certain the answer is no. But with a corsair unit I doubt you have to worry too much even their cheap units like the CX series have decent voltage protection even though they used cheap caps. It damaging the system is possible(lightning strike or a massive power surge might do it) but unlikely. Now with a brand like Raidmax, Apevia, Logisys, etc then you should be worried about it killing the system, those manufacture have little to no protection on their units and have been known to damage other components.

Thanks for the reply.
Its is a cx series and I keep hearing different things about corsairs cheaper PSUs. Some say it will be fine like you and others say its better to replace it after about a year so i'm never sure what to believe.

The cheap caps they used have longevity issues. Initially they review well, but over time the capacitors degrade and will start to fail, thing like heat and/or high loads will speed the process. They were considered a good budget option but now its not something I would recommend using as a long term solution.
