I currently own an ASRock z87 Pro 4 and I have a GTX 770 on it, along with 2 other capture cards in the PCI slots. I was wondering if the performance of these cards are affected by the motherboard? Say If I was to get an Asus Asus Maximus VI Formula, would the performance of those cards be better? I feel like the motherboard I currently have can't handle all of those 3 cards? Maybe it causes a small clog? Just wondering.

well with intel z87 all you got is x16 for one slot and as you fill outher slots that gets cut down when you look at this in the specs. it shows you this as in I card x16 2 cards x8 and x8 and so forth. so I would say no as far as that goes
