hey guys.i'm going to buy a gaming laptop this month.I selected Dell inspiron 15 3537 for my budget.
I checked dell's official site and i found that the gpu is Radeon 8850m and it is GDDR5.
here is the link at dell official site

http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=w...

i have seen at flipkart and it is the same laptop but the gpu in it is DDR3.here is the link at flipkart

http://www.flipkart.com/dell-inspiron-15-laptop-4th-gen...

i dont know why they mentioned like that.i believe in dell's official site because it is their product and they dont post wrong details about the product.so please tell me whether it is ddr3 or gddr5

More about : ddr3 gddr5

That's pretty low of those manufacturers, to cheap out in such a oblique way. That deserves a letter of reprimand.

According to AMD's product page, that GPU only has support for GDDR5.

So, you should be good.

I honestly would still buy it direct from Dell, with a 3 year warranty, because then they'd have all the records for the purchase. It would eliminate hassles with support later on, and with any laptop, you will need support after about 2 years. I have not known a single laptop in the last fifteen years that didn't ever need some part replaced by the beginning of year 3, and several more in year 3. I work in IT, and most of my career has been in corporate desktop support, so I've seen a lot of laptops. I advise getting a 3 year warranty with any laptop, or a 2 year warranty and plan on replacing it in 2 years.

amd does state ddr5 for 8850 but specs actually vary from laptop to laptop.you can find different clock speeds and ram. as for the type here is a review of a alleged 8850 with ddr3 http://pclab.pl/art53315.html. or this on ebay anyway just make sure!
