Massive Lag In COD Black Ops (PC)

I can barely manage 20 FPS. There is immense lag in the main menu as well as during gameplay. I was able to play Black Ops 2 on medium-high settings and managed about 40 fps in it. Only Black Ops 1 is giving me problems. All my drivers, etc. are up-to-date. How do I fix this?

P.S:- Increasing or decreasing the graphic settings makes no difference whatsoever. FPS is always around 18-20.

  1. computer spec?
  2. I can run Black Ops 2 smoothly (like I said), and all the latest games. BO1 came out a couple of years ago, so why can't I run it?
I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware problem.
  3. I'm on a laptop. Intel i5 3230, AMD 7550 and 7650M, 4 gig RAM and Windows 7 x64.
  4. You can run it, it just slower on a mobile cpu. it an older title which usually mean you need a fast cpu.
  5. The CPU, GPU (I think) and RAM are the cause of the lag.
Go get desktop PC or a better laptop.a

I've had the same issue with many games recently, I did this and then they worked perfectly:

What you have to do is:

    1. Open the Registry Editor. (Start>Run>regedit)
    2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\
    3. Set the "NetworkThrottlingIndex" value to FFFFFFFF hexadecimal. (Default value is 10).
    4. Restart your computer.

    Hope this works for you.

The fps remains the same at all graphics settings, which is really wierd. I even reduced my resolution, but even that made no difference. The fps never goes beyond 22-23 during gameplay and also at the main menu.
