Hi everyone,

I just bought an R9 270X but i'm suddenly wondering whether my system will be able to handle it or not, as it's getting quite dated.

I currently have:

Aspire M7721 motherboard
Intel Core i7 920 @2.67 Ghz (8 processors)
750W PSU
AMD radeon 6670 HD graphics card
16 GB DDR3 RAM

I'm worried about my motherboard being outdated, and also whether or not I should update my RAM to DDR5.

Any answers are welcome, thanks in advance!

Ddr3 is the best you can get currently and your cpu should do well with that card.

That is a good build for high-ultra on 1080P for games like BF4 :)

And there goes my internet cred. thanks for the swift reply, I just assumed you could get ddr5 RAM as thats whats used on the newest graphics cards. Thanks for pointing that out!

Motherboard-wise I don't have any incompatibilities to worry about?

Don't worry. Just plug it in, reinstall the driver, and you should be set.
