Antec 920 pump running over 3000rpm but not cooling CPU

I've been running an Antec 920 to cool my 3770K. It's worked fine for about a year. Now the pump runs over 3000 rpm but doesn't cool the CPU. The rad is in a push pull fan(140mm x2) configuration and are working fine. The rad is completely free of dust and debris.

It sounds like the pump's motor is still turning, but the blades that move the water probably broke off of the motor, or the notch that keeps if on is stripped, and the motor is just spinning at full speed, with the blades that move the water just sitting there. Is water going in and then out of the pump, or is it just stagnant in the system when it's on?

If the normal RPM for the pump is lower...and my hunch is that it should be in the 1500-2500 RPM range, then I think Jacob may be correct. If this is an impeller type pump then it soulds like the impeller has detached. I would put an air cooler, even the stock one, back on and run the CPU at stock while you contact Antec for an RMA.

Uh..okay.

I like the concept of liquid cooling but there are a few issues:
a) pump failure renders PC unusable
b) pump noise higher than a similarly priced air cooler
c) reduced air flow over CPU voltage regulators can cause issues (why some motherboards have a combo heatsink/radiator for the CPU voltage regulators so you can tie in the liquid cooler)

I guess the OP has to return the entire unit under Warranty then wait for a replacement? Ouch.
